Signs You Have Clogged Pipes During the Fall Months

Have you noticed your sinks not draining as quickly as they once did? This is a common occurrence in the fall because tree roots are expanding to grab as many nutrients as possible before they hibernate for winter. One of the more common issues that lead to clogged pipes are tree roots. However, when you have infiltrating roots as well as clogged pipes, then you are going to wind up with problems that are going to be difficult to fix. That’s where we come in. Not only can we help with cleaning clogged pipes, but also spotting them. Here are some tips.

Clogged Pipes Show Signs

When you have clogged pipes, you will notice signs. You may hear gurgling when your sinks drain. This typically gets louder with clogs. You may also have incredibly slow drains. Typically, this means there is a clog somewhere along the line. Your drains may back up, or water may fill the tub when you shower. These are all your pipes way of telling you that they need help. Many people have tried pouring hot water down the drain to fix it. This is not a good idea. If you notice any signs of a clog, you want professional help.

Tree Roots Are Relentless

If you do have tree roots as either the cause or contributing factor to the clog, you need help. They are going to keep pushing into your pipes. Once a tree finds an area where it can get both water and nutrients, it sends out more feelers. This means more roots in your pipes until they are full. Many people get their pipes inspected only to see more root than pipe. To avoid this, you need to clear them out.
